Tell me a story grandpa
Tell me a story grandpa,
One of my favorites please
A fairytale of Peter the Prince
Or your childhood memories
He spoke so kind and gentle
As I sat upon his knee
In my heart I felt his love
As he shared his words with me
Tell me a story grandpa
When you left this earthly life,
Did angels come and carry you
Away from all pain and strife?
What is it like to step into
that glorious and heavenly place,
To walk towards our Savior
And feel of his embrace?
In my heart I hear his voice
His story is not yet done
The greatest of all is awaiting
His story has just begun
I will close the book for only a time
This chapter has come to an end
His memory will stay with me
My beloved grandpa and friend

Linds, that is SO beautiful...you have such a talent.
Sorry for your loss, but you're right...his story has just begun.
Love you!
I love it, so sweet. So sorry about your Grandpa. Glad I ran into you at the movies. You looked darling!
So sorry to hear about your Grandpa but glad you have a strong testimony that shows through in your lovely poem. How neat your kids could know their Great-Grandpa, too! What a blessing.
What a beautiful poem Lindsay.
That's beautiful Linds. I didn't know you had that talent. Thanks for sharing it!
Wow that is so beautiful. You are a wonderful writer. You and your family will always treasure that poem.
Lindsay, I did not know you were so talented with words. I love poetry - especially when it comes from the heart. (what poetry doesn't?) Very touching. Thank you for sharing. Every time you think of him, or speak of him, the sorrow of his passing will heal just a little. Love to you...
