I Know I live in Alaska... Part 2

1. Everyone I am buying Christmas presents for live in "the lower 48 states"
2. By December 1st I had already built a snow fort, been sledding, made a snowman, and used an entire container of hot cocoa
3. I stay in my pajamas until 10:00am.... then the sun finally comes up, and I decide to get moving for the day
4. I put my kids in the bath and had them all ready for bed ... then I looked at the clock (5pm) and realized we still had 4 hours to go!!!
5. I bundle my kids in snowpants, a coat, a hat, gloves, and bring a blanket in case... just to run into the store.
6. I get excited to see a blue sky and the bright sun... its a rare treat!
7. I went outside for only a minute with wet hair... and it froze into little icicles!
8. I have forgotten any other colors exist besides white
9. Santa will definately hit our house first.... I think he only lives a few streets away
10.It was 1 degree outside

Surviving the Winter... by Cole

Cole has been plenty busy during these cold snowy days. Have you ever seen a happier person playing in the snow? Cole said... "Wow mom I found a REALLY big rock!"

Hes also a very talented artist..."Cole said... Look mom Im Spiderman!"

And he makes sure to get some rest after all his fun... along with his collection of stuffed animals. He has to have these guys everywhere he goes. So Cole has it rough here in the Alaskan weather....

My helpful kids

I am usually writing about all the messes and mischeivious things that happen. But today I will share a moment of them helping me do dishes... pure bliss...

(Actually there was more water on the floor than in the sink, they both fell off their little chairs, and Cole used half a bottle of dishwashing soap... but I figured that it only cost me about $1.00 in wasted soap, so pretty cheap entertainment. )
