Easter Sunday

Sunday mornings are ALWAYS so crazy trying to get ready for church and be there somewhat on time. I was a little sad because I didnt have a chance to get a picture of the kids before we left, but we were in a hurry. Well, I got home and as I was uploading my pictures... I noticed Chuck had taken these adorable pictures while I was getting ready for church. That was very thoughtful of him and now I am happy to have these shots to remember Easter by. Its the little things that mean the most sometimes... Chuck is definately a sweet guy!

Easter Egg Hunt

Chuck wasnt able to be at Kristi's annual Easter Egg hunt.... but I was lucky enough to have 2 cute girls Amanda and Hannah to help us out!
Cole was very into finding eggs this year.... he was all about quantity
Aliyah was just trying to open each one as she went... she loved the treats inside
Just a cute shot of Cole... he rarely smiles and looks at the camera... so this is a big deal!

This was my first year Easter Egg hunting in snow boots... but we could see some grass... so we were very excited about that!

Good News or Bad News?

Mount Redoubt has errupted! And this is the GREAT news for me.... because my little sister Brooke suprised me and came for a visit last week. Her flight was cancelled due to the ashfall, and she may have to stay a few extra days. Hmmm too bad...

Spring has Sprung....

Yesterday was the first day of spring.... hmmm not really very springy here yet! Obviously my kids are getting ready to ride scooters and bikes again. Cole was getting so frusterated and kept saying "Help me with my scooter!" Then after freezing cold hands, he decided to give up. Poor little guy. So much for playing outside...

A Visit From Grandma and Grandpa Skinner

First off we went to the Iditarod... An annual dogsled race. It was fun to see and they even had a carnival going on... A bunch of kids in full on snow suits going on rides... we skipped out on that part.

Then off to the NORTH POLE to see where Santa lives. After a 6 hour drive we were so sad to see a CLOSED sign on the door. It was closed the two days we were there. But Cole didnt know any different so I made it exciting that we got to see his reindeer and the outside of the house.... Santa was on vacation!

Then we went to the ice park... they had slides made of ice, tunnels and mazes for the kids to climb through, and spinning saucers... VERY COOL! They also had lots of cool ice sculptures everywhere.... it was AMAZING!

Here is Aliyah peeking through a little ice tunnel. This girl wanted to walk and do everything there. Cole was the lazy one who rode on a little sled the whole time. It was a blast.
