My Heros

This is a news clip of my parents story on KSL. I couldnt help but just cry when I watched this. And even though its been almost 20 years since my dads accident, he still is my hero me every single day. Despite this tragedy, my mom was also able to find the positive and create a happy childhood for us. Our family doesnt feel like we were cut short by having this happen.... we feel so blessed for what we have learned about the value of life. I cherish every single day that I spend with the people I love. No matter how difficult life may seem.... I always know that after the trials come much greater blessings. Outside fun

Here is Cole not looking at me on purpose... maybe I should say "dont smile and dont look at the camera...."

Kaleb and Aliyah. She is such a mommy's girl..... but when Kaleb is around she always wants him instead of me. He must be a very cool cousin!

Here are the girls relaxing in the "hot tub" Nichole filled this up with warm water and they played in there forever.

Flowers

Here are my first attempts at planting flowers. Everyone up here hangs these flower baskets outside their houses. The homes here are pretty simple, so these really add alot this time of year.

Coles first Campout

Cole and Chuck went on the Fathers and Sons Campout last weekend. Cole was so excited and helped to pack up the car. Here he is getting all ready to go. Everything went great and of course Chuck didnt remember to take any pictures! This is a big deal for me, its my little boys first campout. But the thing that matters the most is that Cole had a BLAST. He asked Chuck if they could sleep in a tent forever.

Chuck had a great time too except....

1. Cole wet the bed
2. The air mattress had a hole in it
3. He only got one hour of sleep

Meanwhile Aliyah and I had some serious girl bonding time. We went out shopping with our friends and just hung out.

REASONS Ali didnt miss her brother...

1. She got all the toys to herself without him stealing them away
2. She got ALL moms attention... one on one
3. She got to watch something besides Spiderman


But despite all this she screamed with excitement when she saw him...... I guess life was a little too boring without her brother around to torment her.

Cooling Off

Chuck turned on the sprinklers last night and I was up putting Aliyah to bed. Then we were looking around for Cole because he left for a minute... this is where we found him......

A Spring Day

There is something about this little girl that inspires me. Today I just watched her play in the yard and cherished the moment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE! I cant believe how fast the past 3 years have gone by. Having Cole in our family has been such a blessing! He is the cutest, smartest,and most opinionated kid you will ever meet! He has this charming side to him that means I am in big trouble, because he definately finds out how to get his way. I love this little guy so much and he is my best bud.We had a party for him at Chucky Cheese's... one of his favorite places to go. He had lots of friends there along with his cousins.

He got a lot of fun stuff, but was more interested in this bazooka. I guess we could have just got him this and called it good!
