I KNEW I HAD ARRIVED IN ALASKA WHEN........
1. My furniture has yet to come because its coming by boat
2. I became a fishing widow my first weekend here
3. I had to wear my sunglasses at 10pm
4. Verizon wireless doesnt exist here... "can you hear me now?"
5. I shoppped the entire mall, every store, in 30 minutes or less
6. I was only an inch away from Russia on the map
7. Everything on Ebay wouldnt ship to my address
8. My kids woke up and I had to go check the clock to see if it was morning or night
9. Instead of braking for pedestrians... I brake for moose
10.I drove by a bingo club bigger than the mall.... not kidding!
Even with all this being said.... Its gorgeous here and we are loving it so far! Chuck starts his first day of work tomorrow and so thats exciting. When our stuff comes I will post pictures and get back into my blogging world.

Wow, how do you sleep? I swear, I can only sleep when it is dark outside. I can't even nap! I could never live there. I hope everything works out for you guys and you get your stuff soon. When we moved to Oklahoma we were without any of our stuff for a week, because the moving company got behind. It was a long week!
Glad you arrived safe and sound. Hope we can say the same for your stuff in a few days. I know you will adjust and fit in quickly. That's just what awesome people do! It was really great to see you in Utah!
Could I be laughing any harder?
This totally cracks me up! What in the world?!

Ha! Braking for a moose! I love it!
I laughed so hard at your post.. I really can't imagine living in Alaska, but I bet it's such an adventure. Hey, how far apart are Cole and Ali?
What a trip! Glad you are so good at adjusting and going with the flow. I'm sure you guys will do great there. We honestly want to come visit so, plan on us...eventually. Our lives need to slow down a little first!

Cody and I have been looking at houses. We found the perfect home, I guess it's just a matter of getting it. He is going to check it out this week. All have to email you about it. Hope all is well.
That was funny . . . and to think all of that stuff is really true. I'm glad you guys are up there safe--even if you are so close to Russia. I'm excited to see pictures of your home and the area.

There really isn't Verizon sevice out there?? That's no good! Can't wait to see some Alaskan pictures!
You make me laugh Linz! Angie told me all about those boys fishing trips. seriously! I'm sure it is beautiful. One day we would love to make it out of this dirt and into the mountains for a visit. Clovis is small and out in nowhere land. But I'm surviving and happy. HOpe you and Angie make it together and hope your stuff is there now!!!! miss you guys!
Yikes! And to think the only thing that will change is that your stuff will eventually get there...
Good thing you're the type of person that will be happy wherever you are!
Carlee was at my house this week and told me to check out your blog because it was funny. Sounds like you guys are liking Alaska! Heidi
